Current treatments involve procedures where the narrowings and blockages are widened again by balloons or stents or bypassed surgically but none of these cure the underlying problem. They do not remove the cholesterol and fat from the artery walls.

Likewise, current medicines only reduce the impact of risk factors by lowering blood pressure, controlling diabetes, preventing clots or lowering the amount of cholesterol and other fats in the bloodstream. They also do NOT remove the plaques. 

ATH 01 is a first in class drug patented and developed in WA which has proven effects specifically on plaques.
